If the laptop got sent out to the customer and they decide they dont want it and send it back...then it is considered refurbished. Of course if there was something not working in the first place, they replace the part and retest the whole machine...but yes it is considered refurbished.

The "previously ordered new" category computers never left their building the way I understand it. It was ordered and built for a customer and they changed the order or backed out of the transaction.

I just got a toshiba satellite for free! Thank you again Best Buy. They said it would cost at least $300 to fix. I pushed F12 on startup and ran restore.

I purchased the HP. I am now making a set of recovery disks. I will be uninstalling the Norton anitvirus it came with. What anti virus recommendations do you have that are free? I am thinking of some combination of Advance System Care, Avast, Super Anti Spyware, AVG. I might subscribe to one of these.

What are you using for email? I usually just copy the link and then paste it. If you can paste it yet it is not getting there, you may need to look at your security settings. In today's security paranoia many clients strip off everything that could possibly be a threat.

I have windows live going and I normally use yahoo email.
