Twins 57 Fan
What is the biggest prop that I could put on a 1995 Force 75hp? I am not looking for a quick out of the hole shot as much as I am for a higher top speed. The prop on there now looks pretty small. Also would it improve performance very much to get a stainless prop on a 75hp motor? Thanks for your help in advance.
solbes
It would probably help to find out some more specifics. Which boat? What are your wide open throttle RPM's and speed right now?On my 75 Yamaha, it has a 13 1/4 x 17" aluminum. You're likely going to be in a 13 - 13.5 diameter, and probably a 15, 17, or 19" pitch. 19 will probably penalize you in holeshot and may be too low in RPM's. marine_man
Look at the hub on your prop... there should be a bunch of numbers and then a number that has a P after it, like 17P. The two numbers before the P are your prop pitch. If it's not there you may need to remove the prop and look on the hub face for some markings.Post what you find and it'll be easier to get you a recommendation.marine_man
