I like the lifts with 2 wheels in the middle. For me they work best because, due to trees, my lift is stored 20 yards down the shore from where it goes in the summer. With 2 wheels you can turn it easier than with 4 wheels. You do need a second person to balance the lift when pulling it with the ATV winch but that's what I'm for while the wife turns the winch. If you were going straight in and out, 4 wheels would work fine I think.

Has anyone heard of Pier of d'Nort? They are a sectional dock that they claim can be put in and taken out by one person. They're not cheap but if they are really that easy, and they're good docks, it may be worth considering?
