Tim_Anderson
Curious if there is anyone out there who might be interested in something like this? What I have to offer: I'm a multi-species fishing guide in central Minnesota near Brainerd about 2 hours north of Minneapolis, St. Paul. Though I guide for walleye, sturgeon, pike and bass - MUSKY is my main gig. I guide out of a 2009 Ranger 620 VS and have all the gear needed. There are many people on this forum who have fished with me, and who would vouch for me. You can learn more about me by visiting my HSOforum @ www.bigfishhunt.com.What I am looking for: My hunting partner and I are getting somewhat obsessed with elk hunting. We are starting to apply for some of the western states, and are working our way up the ladder for preference points. However, we are a little too anxious to wait. What we'd really like is to have access to some private land during the bugle. It would be an archery hunt, and we'd be thrilled to just get whatever tips we could get and then be turned loose. We don't expect to be guided or anything like that, but would take any help or tips we could get. We'd probably also like to camp close to the hunting area.Though I'm an experienced big game hunter (deer, moose, bear, antelope, etc), I've never shot an elk before. If I had to choose the big game animal I'd most like to get before I get too old (haha), it would be the elk with my bow during the bugle! I totally thrive on calling in turkeys and coyotes, and I imagine that calling in a horny drooling bull must be the ultimate. I know, for some of you western guys, this is probably no big deal as you've done it over and over. But what I'm hoping is that one of you guys are dreaming about catching a big musky here in Minnesota. I can certainly help with that.If you are that guy, or if you know of someone who may be interested, please have them get a hold of me. Thank you.
