zeke7434
I'm looking for a place to buy processing supplies in the Mpls metro area. The place we used to buy all of our stuff has closed in the last 6 months. Now is the time for us to start butchering pigs so any help would be appreciated. MNHuntress
Are you talking about Madeville meats? I thought they opened up again, at the same place under someone else's name? One of the old employees bought it out or something so I hear.I usually can get casings and stuff at a butcher shop. Also I order my spices for sausage, etc from PS Seasonings in WI. They are the bomb!!!What kind of supplies are you looking for?
zeke7434
I was looking for freezer paper, ground meat bags, band saw blades & seasoning. I prefer to actually put my hand on it before buying. The last time I was by Mandeville's they had a piece of plywood over the front door. This was about a month ago. MNHuntress
Well I usually get a huge roll of freezer paper at Fleet Farm, ground meat bags there too. Now this is my opinion, but I've tried many seasonings, and do alot of smoked meat for others, and we as a group like PS seasonings way better than Mandeville. I've tried them all i.e. LEM, the Sausage Maker, etc. You can also buy blades from them too. The only other place I get seasonings from is this Amish guy over in WI, he has some bbq snack stick mix that is awesome. He also has band saw blades, etc. He would be real good to work with because he is an ex-butcher. If you need his number email me at my user name at Yahoo and I can give you his phone number.
