i got my first pike of 2010 today from the vermillion river. hopefully its the first of many and bigger

i got her sight fishing with a jig.

it may not have been huge but it was stunningly beautiful and i couldn't be happier

nice fish roughfish! is that open water fishing your doing right there? thats pretty sweet if it is.. im hoping to get out on the mississippi river here in about a month or so. cant wait. open water when there is still snow out is awesome

i've fished a few places on the minnesota this year with not much luck but i haven't tried the mississippi. good luck!
