Lowrance Global Map 3000

[fishing is hot]

I have an old global map 3000 with a chip in that I have been using for ice fishing. The problem is with using track orientation. I want it set to course up but it is grayed out and I can not select it. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I have a 3600 which should be close to your 3000. There shouldn't be any corralation between the tracking and the chip, key word shouldn't. Chip is just a background. I guess here's a few suggestions if you haven't tried them yet.

1) Remove the chip and see if that changes anything. (Just because it's easy to do and worth a try)

2) Go in and reset your functions to default in the menu. This is in the same menu area as the 'tracking' stuff.

3) Do a soft reset. Lowrances HSOforum has all that information on their HSOforum.

I would think one of these do something for ya.

Did the reset and everything was going good. I was able to get into the Map Orientation and set it to track up. When I went and changed to the Lakemaster it when back to North Up and I could not change the Map Orientation... Any Ideas?
