quick strike rigs?

...In MN, do you have to have something on one of the rigs (hooks) if you make your own...or is it just for stores that sell them? I make my own for musky fishing for years now, and just wanted to make sure it isn't a MN regulation to have a blade or something on it to use them.

Thanks in advance.

this rule applies to all rigs (store bought or home made). they need a blade and/or Bead with in 3" of the hook to be legal. be careful with some of the store bought ones. I just bought a package of store bought ones and they did have the blade but it slid the full length of the wire which was 12" long so I just placed a small knot in the wire to keep the blade 3" or less from the hook to make it legal.
