Devils Lake ND

Recommended Posts

Before I ask this question I know that there is a Devils Lake forum under the North Dakota forum. I just haven't found much luck there with advice and was hoping somebody local that has been there could help me out. In early March 7-9 I will be staying in Minnewaukan on the West side of Devils lake. The Navionics chip I have for my H2O really shows next to nothing for bottom stucture on the Minnewaukan flats area of the lake. Has anybody here ice fished that area of the lake, and if so what type of structure, depth did you fish, and how did you locate it? Any help is appreciated. By the way I'd be targeting walleye, jumbo perch, or pike (not to picky as long as I get some action).

Thanks in advance ~piker

The NDTRAX is far better. Or the newest LakeMaster Dakota's Chip.

The Minnewaukan Flats are not loaded with structure, but there is significant structure to be found on the new maps, greater detail and names of local known locations and hot spots.

I just bought a newer Lakemaster chip right after christmas, then headed to Devils about 2 weekends ago, and I was super impressed with the Detail, found some Humps I never would have knownen where there without it. Now I need to get the Minnesota Chip, and throw my Navionics Chip away!
