Can someone help me with these two purchases. I would like a pop up shelter that is large enough for me and my kid and plenty of room. I would also like a underwater camera to keep him from not getting bored. I would like to spend around $400 for both. How do the hubs hold up without a floor and wind?

I would get a eskimo quickfish 3 pop-up. Easy to use and one of the bigger pop-up on the market. You could probably find some for less then $200 and use the other $200 for other toys for yourself.

As for the camera… I just purchase a Marcum VS380 for $299 and my kids love it. It's like a video game for them only difference is they get to keep a real live fish and they learn how to fish. Ever since I bought the camera the wife been really good about letting me go fishin… that's because the kids ask her if we can go fishin. wink

I'm not sure how they work in the wind, but the Eskimo Quickfish 3 has plenty of room for two. I have a Clam 5600, which has slightly less space, and there is plenty of room for my son and me. The local fleet supply store here in town sells the Quickfish 3 for $160 plus tax. All their other houses are priced similar to most websites, so I would guess that price is close to normal.

As for a camera, I would guess any would work, but I'd stay away from the ones that have the weights under the camera. I've read they have a tendency to leak water in the lens area.
