where do you store your permanent?

I have had the itch to build a permanent shack for a while, one of the things that prohibits me from starting the project is that I have no where to store it.

Just curious where most of you keep your permanents during the off-season (especially when you're in a similar situation as me and at home is not an option)?

I have friends and family up north, it's a pain going back and forth to switch my stuff around but it's better there than in my back yard.

I have a farmer who I keep in contact with, I have hunted his land and helped him with things around the farm like roofing etc.

He lets me store it out in one of his sheds \ barns in the off season....works out good accept the pigeon sh!t.

All he asks for is a single malt scotch bottle in return.

I know its safe and looked after.... and he has a million cats around so mice are NEVER a problem.

He is fairly close as well about 1/2 hour drive 45 min. I would try and look for something like that.

A lot of farmers rent space now. If your worried about it getting damaged I would check your insurance to make sure its covered.

Check with relatives or friends everyone knows a farmer that has space... even up next to a barn is good. Just watch branches etc in high winds.... but again back to the insurance thing.
