Gorilla Pod??????

Recommended Posts

Anyone here use one, or have used one in the past and have an oppinion?

I am a firm believer in the old addage "good posts are made better by good pictures", but I dont always fish or hunt with other people and it is hard to frame a picture the way you want it with a 6 year old behind the camera. And to be honest with you it is better to have her in the pics anyways. Setting it on a rock or chair never seams to work out great either. eek

I'm just thinking about the straped to the sled or bars of the fish house "self portrait" with a timer option.

They look like they would not take up to much space and fit in a game bag on the upland vest too. Am I right about this?

Comments good or bad please......

Yep they work great, as long as you have something to wrap the legs around.

I used to have a full sized tripod in my boat, and now it's no longer taking up real estate.

I actually bought a "knock off" at Target for about $20.

Thanks for the imput dtro.

Well, I snagged one local for a reasonable (I thought) amount of money ($30). I will see how it holds up.....

So far my initial impressions, light weight, reasonably small, supports my camera even on a vertical lamp. May take some getting used to the workings of it, but it should add to the shots I can get.

I am not sure I like the "clip" that attaches the camera to the pod. But I am not sure I have liked any "quick disconect" tripod attachment I have ever delt with.

For the boat, fishhouse, sled trips, hunting trips etc. It should work.
