Norton 360 works great. My kid was doing the same thing on his computer. The program constantly updates to detect new viruses and issues. I run a scan once a day to clear out any issues. Computer runs great now. You get a one year subscription that's good on up to 3 computers.

Hi Fishtrap3 - DMS is basically a registry cleaner. I use a program called RegistryBooster by Uniblue. It cleaned up my computer of all the reg errors and it's not realy expensive. I believe you can run the error checker to see what it finds before you purchase the program.

I don't think it really did much for the speed of my computer but it did seem to help a little with performance. good luck

I use the Norton as well and have been happy with it.

I also use CCleaner on top of that, which has a system and registry cleaner built into it. Its amazing how much [PoorWordUsage] it cleans out!!!

Norton is the main, always on program. CC just supplements it.
