Hello, I'm a college student at SDSU and have always wanted to turkey hunt in SD. My question is, do you have to apply for SD-east river or west river-like in MN for a turkey license? If so, do I still have time to apply for this spring or did I miss the boat long ago? Thanks for the info!

According to the GFP HSOforum, the 2010 application process will begin in late January. Go to the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks HSOforum, find 'hunting' on the "wildlife, hunting and fishing" tab, and scroll down to big game and find the link for info on Turkey hunting.

This is also where you will find the downloadable application form (the 2009 form is still there as of this afternoon).
