ryanmitchell
I stuck my rod in the tube of a deck piling, almost like a rod holder. When I went to pull it out, the bottom half inch of the cork broke off, exposes the hollow blank. What is the best way to repair it? Best thing I can hink of is almost like a cork wine stopper and then seal it and smooth all edges and maybe add some athletic tape. My brother had the idea stripping all the cork off the end below the real seat and adding a sliding a thick golf grip on it. I though he was joking, and I think he was, but it was not the worst idea. Any ideas guys. Were could I get a part like that? I know some rods you can add weights to the handle end, so the device that you screw teh end into has to be embedded in the rod blank somehow???Thanks in advance. ryanmitchell
I guess I could get one of these, but that seems too easy!Note from admin, please read forum policy before posting again, thank you.
upnorth
You can purchase cork rings that you can file to fit both the ID and OD to fit. You can glue a variety of things on the end of that piece of cork to cover the hole.
Bobb-o
get some cork and then epoxy it in place and sand it down to what you want
