I used my 383c for ice fishing once this season. I prefer (just slightly) the Lowrance x67c but a couple of the features of the 383c are useful. For instance - the split screen with 83kHz (wide angle) on one side and 200kHz (narrow angle) on the other is useful depending on the depth/structure you happen to be on.
