Steve Bakken
Anyone know what the wires running off the carbs are for?
Macgyver55
They are throttle position sensors. A protection device to sense an imbalance in the carb slides, which will cut out the ignition in the event of a frozen or stuck throttle. When ever any carb service is done its important to make sure the carbs are in sync. They must be opening at the same precise time or this system will act up even without a sticking throttle.See the other related thread about how to check/correct this problem.
