Exhaust Valves?

Do they need periodic maintenance/cleaning? Is it A diffacult task for a do it yourselfer? Its an 06 Polaris 600. Thanks for any advice!!

Yes they do need periodic cleaning. The better the oil you use the less dirty they will be though. Its a pretty straight forward deal. Most have only 2 bolts holding them, remove bolts, slide out the valve assembly and clean. I usually use carb/brake cleaner. You'll most likely need new gaskets and/or o-rings when you reinstall them.

very easy to do. i clean mine every year, you need to buy new gasket for sure. i have used gas to clean them and carb clean both work well.
