Macgyver55 Posted January 7, 2010 Share Posted January 7, 2010 Yes they do need periodic cleaning. The better the oil you use the less dirty they will be though. Its a pretty straight forward deal. Most have only 2 bolts holding them, remove bolts, slide out the valve assembly and clean. I usually use carb/brake cleaner.
