Love that purple finch image, great light and she's sooo pretty.

Great light and bg elements on the gray jay image too. On a side note, if you are looking for opportunities to photograph cedar waxwings, check out the apple trees down on Minnesota Point by the soccer field parking lot, there is a small flock that can be very approachable and evening light lately has been sweet, but very cold! There are also robins and a small flock of white winged crossbills. If you don't see them right away just wait or get out and look around, they hang out in the small cedar trees until they get hungry then they go out to the apple trees. I would have done VERY well the last two times I went,

(Sunday, and Saturday), but I'm in between big glass and I only had 300mm focal reach frown Just thought you might like to know, I think I read one of your recent posts about wanting to photograph waxwings smile

Thanks for the info Shawn. I will have to get out and check them out because there seems to be none in the Cloquet area. I have a little drive that I take that has all sorts of small fruit trees where I have spotted them in the past but as of late I have found nothing.
