Pine Grobeaks from the Weekend

Recommended Posts

It was cold but I just could not sit in the house with all the sunshine that was out there this weekend. You might see a double catch light in some of the photos because even though it was sunny I had to be in the shade to get the shot that I wanted so I had to use my flash to brighten up the birds a bit. The hotspots that you see are really snow in the trees.

I think I have learned enough about exposure here to have learned that maybe #4 is a little underexposed? But don't you dare do any highlights and shadows work with it. It is my favorite by far, and is perfect just the way it is. She sets a mood that would keep me coming back to it over and over.
