Have a fl-20 with the 12 degree transducer, and when laker fishing in 90ft. of water I have to have the gain up to the max just to pick up my swedish pimple, or the 5-6" shiner I have on the bottom with my tip-up, and can only pick it up if I move it up or down. It is the same even when I use the bottom lock. Everything is so blown up its pretty much useless. There is no currant on this lake either.

Wondering if those with a 9 degree transducer have this problem. Wondering if anybody out there has one that goes to 400ft, and if so, how is it.
