DL ice conditions?

What are the ice conditions on DL? Are there any major safety issues that I should be aware of? I will be heading up there in a couple of weekends for the first time, but I only have one day to fish so any advice to get me started would be greatly appreciated.

There is a lot of snow cover on the lake and a 4x4 is a must. All access points have been opened up and some trails have been plowed. Do not drive your vehichle into the trees if you are going after walleyes. I have talked to several people who have dropped their front ends in. Ice thickness is around 20" and it should be making more this week since temps are expected to be close to -20 the first part of the week. Good luck
