I always check the weekly reports at edsbaitshop.com or give them a call if you need to know right away otherwise keep checking this site. These guys do a pretty good job at updating reports.

The ice is 12 to 15 inches every place I have been. People seem to be driving every where, I would still check it if you go out in a new area. Good Luck!

I'm planning a trip to devil's lake for the first time However we're not going until the first weekend in March. Just wondering , what is the ice usually like by then? ok or slush city?

I understand this warm weather is supposed to continue for a few more days.

Any thoughts or suggestions on what to bring as far as getting around on the ice next weekend? 4 wheelers, sleds, trucks with tow straps? perhaps a canoe

Snowmobiles and portable houses. Unless you have access to a monster truck. Snow has gotten a little on the crusty side, easy to get stuck in the ol' pickup.

We have been traveling off the trails this week in pickups but the only problem is all the water. If you have a snow mobile that is the way to go. Make sure you have good boots because you will be walking thruogh a lot of water.
