Myself and a few friends are planning on sending in for deer tags this spring. We have been looking at hunting on the cmr and if anyone has any info about where on the refuge is good to hunt or gets very little hunting pressure, it would be greatly appreciated. While talking to a person that works at the refuge hq, she mentioned that area 700 is very hard to get to because of private landowners and can be reached fairly easy by boat. Also, I noticed that she sucess rate for drawing an elk/deer tag is considerably better. Is there anywhere on the refuge that a person has a shot at an elk?
