Wading boots

Need to pick up a new pair before Jan trout opener. To fit stocking foot breathabe waders. My last pair of canvas only lasted one season. Want a pair that dry fast Common brand found at Gander or Fleet Farm all the better. Perfect timing, American Anglers just showed up and has reviews. Race is on for the best traction other than felt.

Not that anyone would advise felt for MN, is felt now banned in some states? Appears to be fading. I have felt reef shoes and they work great in the ocean.

I have a pair of Cabelas Backcountry wading boots. I would have highly recommended them, as I like them a lot, but it looks like they're being discontinued. They're on sale on Cabelas' HSOforum, but only available in size 8. Looks like they've got a lot of other wading boots on sale too.

I have back countries...they are on sale...

If they weren't so cheap I would NOT buy them.

I wore out a pair in a year.

I guess 157 trips will do that.

I bought the Simms boots last year - a bit pricey, but well worth it if you spend a lot of time on the water (i/e hiking and fishing). Good traction and comfortable fit. Some things I don't want to skimp on, and having decent boots qualifies for me.

I've had the Back Country's also - good boot for the price, and Cabelas' return policy is top notch.
