You should still be able to post what you like about them, and what you don't, how they are made(2x2,2x3,2x4 studs),what type of siding, how heavy of frame, suspension. It doesn't matter if they are a sponsor or not. You would be giving your opinions on the quality of the house.

His houses are built very well. Just what hibanks1 said for how he builds them. He will stand behind his work if something go's wrong. I have had mine for one year and never had a problem with it. Don will build one the way you want it or you can just finish the inside yourself.

Found some info out there on his request for a permit for access to Red Lake....beside the experience of sX2 he is the only positive reference i have found...the other reference is from wally-hunter who hasn't really identified himself to me but had a completely opposite experience and decided not to buy one......Carsella prices seem more than reasonable and he would build a house with material that i would...his economy model is priced well and i have seen one other posting out there from last year....I won't order one until i see thier operation in person....and get a couple more solid referrals like sX2

I ordered a house back in October than decided to make it a little bigger so things got pushed out some. Don was very flexible with the change. I talked with Don today and it looks like my house will be ready mid next week. Just in time for a trip to URL after xmas. I have been onsite to check things out a couple times as my in-laws have a place in the area. Seems to be a good quality shop. Don and his wife own the Jungle Land nursery located on US71 as stated above, but I think he recently got out of the carpet business.

My impressions are that he offers a quality house at an affordable price. The frames are built in Miltona and the rest is done in Northome. You can read about the materials and construction techniques above, so I will not bore you with that again. The only thing I would mention is different frames are available if desired.

Overall, I think Don and staff are a friendly group of guys and don't mind showing you around and your answering questions if you stop by -- most are when trying to make sale. I realize that the trip up there is quite a ways for those in the cities, but making the trip to check out something before buying it is a wise decision when spending that kind of money. I live in Zimmerman and will have mine available for those interested a taking a peek.

Email me at [email protected] with any questions.

Put it this way, I sold my Ice Castle and ordered this one. I may not have the same upgrade options in the new house (although they are available), but I feel I am getting a much better deal on a better house. It's definitely a better frame over my old 2005 IC. My two cents!

I looked at one and it looked like a decent shack. The price was good also. I dodn't like the siding on it however. It was metal rib siding/roofing that wasn't finished very well around the windows and door. Where it met the door and windows the ribs that stuck out where just filled with silicone. It looked like they ued 20 tubes of silicone on the thing. I bought an Ice Castle instead.

I own one and can attest to them being a fine house. I have become friends with Don over the last 3 years and have reffered several people. I have even entrusted Don's house as a major promotion prize at my business as I am giving one away tomorrow night. Don is a stand up individual and his houses are fine. Don is in the middle of some exciting things and is in contact with us here on sponsorship but is not at this time.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
