these two days i have been thinking what is too much or two little for jigging your decoy. is it like rattleing for deer you do it for about 5min and wait then do it agian.

what do you do for decoying? i thought this is a good open question with a lot of answers.

Prior to last weekend I rarely jigged the decoy.

The lake I was on last weekend it seemed jigging was the only way to get them to come in.

I think you have to let the fish tell you what they prefer. (This is good advice from Spearhead last weekend)

If they are coming in to fast or spook before they get to the hole, then you are probably jigging too much.

I generally do the 5min thing, sometimes 2min all depends on the lake, like my special lake I do 5 but the last lake I was on needed more action more frequently so I did 2min... sometimes I wait ten, I like to mix it up to see what works the best...
