Wheel House Question- Mille Lacs Custom

My father and I are planning on buying a shell fish house and then finish off the inside to our liking. I have come across a company that builds the shells called Mille Las Custom. I was curious if anyone had any knowledge about them either from buying one themselves or know someone who has? We are looking for an all steel construction including studs with aluminum siding. If you have any other suggestions I am open to them. Finally joined the forum after reading posts for years.

I don't know anyone that has one, but I have looked them over as well and they do look nice to me. If you are looking for a nice shell to start with and finish off yourself and you don't mind paying 5-7K for that, then they would be worth a closer look.

I have seen some of their houses, they look to be very good. They built a over size atv door with an entry door in the big door for my quad. They did a top notch job on that. If I ever build again, I think I would buy from them.

Hawkeye43- so you just bought the door from them to put on your house? Yeah they look to be built pretty well and it is tough to find some other manufacturers. Yeah we need to have a house with a 65 inch door at the minimum and talking to MLC they said they could build any size we needed.

Out of 8 places I contacted, they were the only ones willing to build a door. The price was a little high I thought, but I got what I wanted.

Was the door a drop down door or a double door?

It was one single door 68" wide x 72" tall with a entery door in that. I need that wide to get the wheeler with tracks in. Its like a cargo door on a trailer.

I would go with a Yeti. Might as well start out as light as you can and you dont have to worry about rust.
