Steve Foss
You can use synthetic oils in those Solo motors. They were very cautious about it at first but have eased warranty restrictions. It's my understanding that if you don't run it leaner than 50:1 it won't void your warranty.I'm using Amsoil synthetics in all my 2-stroke motors now, running 50:1 in all of them. I'd been running some of them leaner as Amsoil suggests (100:1 is what they recommend), but I can't bring myself to go that lean anymore. Not to mention I've got enough motors for various things that a 50:1 gas can of premium gas/Amsoil never sits so long it goes bad.
