jigspoon
Anyone have a opinion on the transducer angle ? I went from 19 on the old vex to 12 on the FL20 and it sure seemed to make a difference. I understand the cone angle concept but I did not think I would notice much. I like the 19 better for suspended crappies, but shallow eyes seems not much different. paceman
I have a dual angle transducer so I play with it from time to time. I have found the 12 degree to be more consistent to the actual depth while fishing near structure. The 12 degree seems to show the smaller jigs easier as well with less sensitivity power. Just my observations.
takeakidfishing
If you fish flats or deep holes for panfish the wider angle is better. If you fish walleyes a lot on deep breaks the narrow angle will work better. You make not see some fish if you are fishing on steep breaks. The zoom feature is a great add-on feature for those fish that are tight to the bottom.
