Must fill position, and by who?

The winter meetings have come and gone, and it looks as though the Twins have left with out shoring up a couple big holes in our team. I know there is still time to pick up someone, but the better options are getting pretty thin now.

I still think the Twins need to get a good 3rd basemen, or a good second basemen, and a #1 starting pitcher. I wasnt holding my breath for all 3 positions, but one of them would have been nice.

Oh well, maybe they are content on just winning the weakest division in baseball, then out in the first round. With everyone else in our division dumping salary this offseason, we should be the favorites to win the division.

I think it's safe to say they ain't going to sign a #1 pitcher. Most of those don't grow on trees and that type of tree doesn't grow in Minnesota anyhow.

There still is time to make some moves. I think there may be as many or maybe even more options for a good 2b out there than there are for 3b so maybe that might be what ends up happening (or nothing). Harris would be ok imo as a regular 3b if they brought in a good 2b and Punto can be the platoon guy.

Got to think they are concentrating on Mauer right now and hopefully they can make him some promises that they uphold as far as picking up some additional talent here and there in hopes of giving them a team that can contend not only for division but beyond that.
