Who Do You Trust or Use to sell your vehicle ?

Recommended Posts

I have to sell my truck and I want to get the best price for it. I have looked at Kelly Blue Book and N.A.D.A. and have built the truck and now I need to know what price that is listed should I use/or trust ? Where should I list it or what has worked for you ? I was thinking Autotrader or Car Soup. I really don't want to sell but it sure looks like my job could go away soon and I don't want to be desperate at the time of sale.

Hey Jim,

cant give you a lot of helpful advice, but I have a truck up on both C Lst and autotrader. I had it on C Lst first and got about 4 calls and then put it on autotrader and have got nothing yet.

However to be fair, my value on blue book was 8100 and I listed on C Lst for 8300 and autotrader for 8700. If I really wanted to move it I could lower price. Just a little info, but I think the people who are buying used do their research too.

My biggest problem is the lack of private party's listing my truck so the price I see is what the dealers are asking used and it is high blue book but the can take in trades and finance so they have more wiggle room. I will list on C and expect lots of low ball offers but I guess that's part of the game.
