Pat Burch
This weekend is the big Ice fishing show in St.Paul. Starts today at 1:00pm I suggest everyone that loves ice fishing try to make it. I know there has been allot of talk on here about the new lindy darters, well if you would like to see them in person and how they work in the water come visit the lindy both. Showgoers can “test-drive” Darters and other new ice lures, like the Slick Jig and upgraded Techni-Glo Flyer, in a special tank at the Lindy Legendary Fishing Tackle booth throughout the event. Thelen and other Lindy pros will be on hand to offer presentation tips and other advice. There will even be special offers on purchasing ice fishing tackle. JigginIsLife
i have seen the new lindy darters at cabelas, havent seen them work in the water yet. but i think they were like 1.50 less than the chubby darter so it seems pretty decent, but like i said i havent seen it in action under the hole. Flip37
What size do you guys recommend? Mainly targeting walleyes, although did have some luck with the smaller chubby darters on crappies last year. I was thinkin of ordering some off the web. JigginIsLife
well if the bite is on (experiance is with a chubby) and the walleyes are hot, you really cant go too big big walleyes will hit bigger ones. i use the medium sized ones i think 3-4-5 and have caught anywhere between 8 lbers to 2 lbers with the majority being right around 3 lbs. havent had real success with them on low, but have had great success on clear lakes, with high predator populations (bass, northern, walleye, and large perch) so depending on the fry hatch that year and food sources try to match what the schools are in the lake, such as shiners, or small perch. i do have the luminecent orange dace, (only one with non-natural colors) and i really have only had good luck with it durring sun up other than that i have the hot perch, dace, and a silvery one that i cant find on the salmo web site. i know if backwater picks up this thread he is a wealth of info on them. Pat Burch
1 3/4 or the 2 inch. Both produced very well on LOW last year during testing.
