Spearing from flip-type portable?

Hi guys. I've got an Eskimo Quick-Flip 3, and I was thinking about trying to spear from it. Anybody out there have any experience with this? Any info or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

i've tried spearing out of my otter house I don't like it it just doesn't get dark enough in there for me too much exposed ice. works if the water is really clear but if it is stained it makes it that much harder to see. so i use my 4x8 home made suitcase style makes it much easier to see. also if it get too warm in in the flipover the snow melts making the ice really slippery and i don't like that with that big hole there. good luck out there.

Good several people there fish out of them using carpets or homemaid floors.

i did it quite a bit of times last year out of my buddies huge otter flipover and what we did was put a bunch of dark blankets over the fish house all over and we could see down the open hole super clearly! if you put some small carpets on the ice in the house as well that would help make it easier to see down the hole. we cut a huge hole in the ice also to minimize the ice exposure.
