I have lots of family in Canton and this year four of us went out to find some birds. My uncle works for south lincoln rural water so he knew alot of public places to go. All I can say is i had a blast. We ran into other hunters who were all very sportsman like when we came acrossed eachother in the same field. needless to say I will be doing it again. way to go South Dakota Sportsman!

Glad you had a good time it was a great weekend to be out, and the weather was awesome.

Some of the public land down there gets over looked stictly due to the location but I have had some good success down that way as well.

Canton isnt bad for a fishing either, if you try Lakota or the Klondike on the river.

I know right where lakota is my grandparents live half mile from there can see it from there house...actually they used to own a little convenience store out there
