Empire Heater for camper???

Recommended Posts

Just finishing up converting my 14ft camper into a fish house and was wondering what you guys think of putting a 8500-20000 btu Empire ventless heater in it. Camper was gutted and insulated and will also be insulating the floor. Just want a good heater the first time so I'm not kicking myself later.

Big Buck is right. Lots of moisture in the house. The ventless are a cheaper heat but you do get what you pay for. I have always had a Direct Vent Empire in my fish houses and love them. The forced air is also good if you don't mind messing around with batteries. If you do go with a forced air you should invest in a generator also.

Havent had much of a problem in my camper with a vent free heater, I burn a infrared three pannel propane an it works awsome. I keep one window up hich an one low on opposite side of the camper craked open for fresh air cross ventilation, an have had no problems, five years with it an probably .5% moister damaged in one small area an thats from the heating up prosses from frosty conditions.
