Reconnect with the past.

I got to thinking today while at work. I have buddies that were either in my wedding or that I hunted and fished with over the years and really enjoyed the times we spent together. Some of these guys I haven't done anything with for years because of all of the obligations we each have to raising our kids. I can call them on the phone and talk like it was yesterday. The reason for this post is to just give them a call and reconnect with the guys, gals that you hunted and or fished with. Perfect time to see what is going in in thier life and you have the opening line of how did your fishing go this year or how did your hunting go. I did this today and with any luck I can connect with a couple guys that really made my early ice fishing, fishing and hunting part of my life. Pick up the phone and talk to someone you have enjoyed the outdoors with and let them know you thought of them and who knows, maybe you can renew an old friendship and get out and catch up in the process. Friends don't go away they just get lost in the business that we call life!

Funny that you wrote this I just got off the phone with a buddy. We were reminecing about past fishing and hunting trips. We still get together for turkey hunting but when we shoot our birds its time to head home for kids activities or some other obligation we should've been at. It's realy amazing how fast time goes by. Fishing opener is 6 months away and it'll be here bfore you know it.

I have found out, if you lose track, facebook is a great way to get connected if you are into that sort of thing. I just found my two college roommates last week after being on facebook for 2 months, I finally found someone with their addresses. Time to reconnect.
