It is that time of year 4 times the activity on the ice fishing forum as the open water.

I saw a skim of ice in a local pond today. Even with the warm temps we are making progress!

211-15 in favor of ice fishing. but if we went by numbers, ice would be at the top year round!!! for some reason, they don't move ice fishing to the top until the very last minute!!! doesn't matter where it is to me, it's always the first forum I'm on!!!

Lots of people in MN are still open water fishing. I think it's a safe bet to say NO ONE is ice fishing yet. I say leave it for now.

I am digging out my stuff thanksgiving weekend. I remember I need to make a couple small repairs on my gear and get it organized.

I have been ready for ice for the past 3 weeks. I am stocked up on everything and the perm, portable, auger, rods, and everything is waiting to be used. This weather is starting to become really frustrating..
