Peep Sight for Muzzle Loader

Recommended Posts

Yeah I was using a Williams Peep sight for several years. I would sight-in at the range with the screw in aperature, in but would hunt with it out to get a better sight picture. With the aperature in, I would find myself looking over my sights to help get the right spot. I never tried the ghost rings but they looked good.

If you're a T/C omega or encore shooter, EABCO.COM has a really cool peep/scope rail system that works well. It's called the peep rib. I had it on an Encore and was able to shoot some pretty tight groups out to 100 yds with it. I sold that gun in trade for a buddy's camper trailer and have replaced that gun with an omega. Both guns are good shooters, but the encore was definately better. It allows you to mount the scope with quick detach rings and use it during the firearm season and then quickly remove it for the ML season.

Guys, I shoot a TC Encore with a Leupold QR base on it and the factory rear sight and noticed that my eyes aren't adjusting like they used to and am thinking of putting a Williams peep on it. Can anyone tell me if you are just removing the rear sight and mounting the peep or does it have to be closer to your eye. I've seen some pics of the peep mounted on the scope rail. Any info would be appreciated.
