jwhjr
I've been there in January and you're correct, it's not outdoor pool weather. I think it got into the 30's at night when I was there and you would have thought we were at the North Pole the way people were bundled up
Born2Fish
I lived in Vegas for 3 years doing construction work. There isn't much pool time past september, and some years that's pushing it. As far as the original post, I would not recommend the Stratosphere. It is a long ways off the strip, and a part of Vegas that most would consider the most "ghetto" part of Vegas. The Imperial Palace is a little bit further down the strip, making walking to places easier. You can find good deals, but yes like any place in the world, they are looking to make a buck. Stay clear of deals that seem too good to be true. Once it hits about 60 degrees, people start dressing for an arctic blast! Personally I always had a better time on Fremont Street than I ever did on the actual strip itself. It's all more easily walkable, and later at night you get the Fremont Street Experience. bgreen82
unless you want good deals on the rides on top of the stratosphere, i wouldnt go there. efven if you take the tram its 15 minutes to anywhere good on the strip. and its kind of a dump. as is the imperial, but its right next to major hotels, and i actually liked their casino a little bit. CodyDawg
Lawdog, is, well, a..... lawyer . So if we duked it out, I would get sued in the end, which would kinda suck. My moniker is after the best dog I ever had, Cody. She is gone now, but doggone it, I ain't a bit to ashamed to say I miss her. Plus, Lawdog aint really that bad a guy, once you get past the lawyer thing and all.
loc8or
I have stayed at both within the past 3 years.I dont know why the bad about the Strat. It was clean, did'nt stink and food was very reasonable.Matter of fact with the coupons and other perks,I think my wife and I at 3 times at the buffet for free.It is farther away from everything else, but the Vegas transportation is cheap and easy.Would I stay there again-definatley!We are going again and I may stay there again, depends on total package price. Now as far as the Imperial goes-It STINKS(smells),desperatley needs remodeling, and the food was not as good and over priced.BUT-location,location,location.In the middle of everything. Will never stay there again. These are my opinions-take or leave them!Forget the pool in jan.
