Peregrine Falcons

Hwood and I paid a visit to the Duluth harbor today. Saw some feathers just blowin in the wind. Took a closer look and something was plucking feathers from something else! While we were "NOT" paying close attention, one of these falcons grabbed this bird in the air........and we missed it!!! There was 2 falcons but poor quality to post.

Cool - those Falcons are so mean. Gotta luv it when they smack something.

There's a nest right above the lock on pool 2. I saw one hit a bird in the air. It fell on the embankment and the falcon swooped in. Then proceeded to stab it around 40 times with it's rear talon while it's wings were fanned around the prey. Heck one even stared me down flying 20 feet above me.
