I am sure this has been covered but I am going to buy a handheld GPS before ice up and want everyone's opinions on brands and what capabilities they each have. I was just going to get a lowrance h2o but have heard some bad things about them. I have a navionics hotmaps chip already for the waters I fish so I need something compatable with that. Any and all information would be appreciated.

Hey Eve....the no-brainer option is an H2OC...they are on clearance because they no longer are making them. These things are waterproof AND they float! I looked into upgrading to a touch screen Garmin...but it doesn't float, so that is not an option for the ice. Anyway, just my opinion.
