Older Jiffy Question

Recommended Posts

I have an older Jiffy and it looks like the oil might be very slowly working its way out of the case at the "seams". This isnt the end of the world as it isnt gushing out by any means, but wondering if there is anything I can do or any suggestions. Thanks!

When you say at the “seams” are you referring to the gear case?

There is no oil in the gear case; the likelihood is the gasket has worn thin and the grease is weeping thru the gasket.

Replace the gasket and add new grease, very little grease is needed.

Since you mentioned that it is very slowly working its way out, chances are that you are OK and do not have to do anything.
