shnelson
There's a lot of possibility on the river just north of stillwater. I'm not sure whats available for minnesota only as I pick up both wisc & mn licenses to be covered. If you get into some of the backwaters you might find a nice little pothole to hunt out of.How far north of stillwater are you willing to travel? I can give you a couple lakes that i've seen plenty of birds at (usually plenty of hunters too though).
DonBo
Lots of opportunities around the islands upriver on the Croix if your boat isn't in winter storage yet .

ralph rich
Good advice - I am looking for a local spot. I have a boat I can bring on the St Croix. I live in Lakeland near Beanies. Any suggestions north or south of the 94 bridge?I appreciate the help
Cheetah
Near 94 is wide open river as far as I've seen when fishing. Probably not ideal for waterfowl unless you maybe have a big spread of goose decoys or something. If you go north of Stillwater there are lots of small islands and some backwater areas you can set up in that probably hold more ducks.
