PerchJerker
A buddy of mine has a Skeeter 1880 with 200 HPDI, I've spent a bunch of time in that boat and like it a lot.
JohnMickish
the price of the skeeter is much better than most brands, ranger is way overpriced. Ranger dosen't have a boat that competes with that skeeter so if you compare it to a 619 then you are right, the 619 is more but it is also a foot longer and can handle a 225HP instead of "just" a 200. Now compare a 1950 to a 619 or the 2150 to a 620 or 621 and then you will see that the prices for an apples to apples comparison are right there with each other. But yes, the 1880 is a great boat, I work with a guy that picked one up this year with a 150/T8 combo. A very nice boat that should be on anyones list if looking for a great glass fishing boat.
LMITOUT
Wow, a 18 footer with a two-hundy on the back... that thing must fly! They do. If I recall correctly, on the Skeeter 1880's you can max it out with a 200 2-stroke or a 150 4-stroke. Every one I've seen has a hydrofoil to help it get on plane and I'd guess that Knoppers does as well. Seems to be the standard way to set them up so that they run right.
