pureinsanity
Smallies, Channel Cats, White Bass....I love catching creek chubs on light gear. they put up a heck of a fight if you get a big one!
mainbutter
4.Muskiereally?I've always considered musky to be one of the laziest fighters around, pound for pound. They get big and do provide a great fight, just not a great pound-for-pound fight IMO.On top of that, no one will argue that the actual challenge in fishing for musky is finding them and getting a strike.Of all the 30+lb class fish I've caught, musky have been the shortest fights and the easiest to land. I love fishing for them, and they are huge and beautiful trophy fish, but they would never make anywhere close to my top pound-for-pound fighters.I've been spooled by a big river carp (granted, in current) on the same medium rig that has landed a 48 inch musky. Flakeoutdoorsguy
I disagree with you main butter but understand where you are coming from. I have caught some muskies that were more lazy then others big time. But i have had some great fights from muskies, much better than big carp. The reason carp are hard to real in is because they just use their weight and size and put themselves sideways. Had quite a few also that were lazy. never had big runs from my carp, and i use much smaller gear then my muskie gear. Also that 48 inch muskie would have more than likely spooled you in the river current also.

caocao
I say Muskies, almost pulled one in while trying to catch smallies. It went to the current and I got spooled.
