skunked (no pun intended), concerned about eyes?

my 2shorthairs had their first run in, with not 1, not 2 but 3 skunks!

I have done the baking soda, hydrogen peroxide and dawn dish soap mix about 3 times and beleive I have taken care of the smell.

My main concern is the eyes. Older dogs has one eye that is just red but open for the most part other eye is fine. My younger dog can barely keep both his open and are very red. I have been flushing them constantly, and vet said redness and even blindness could last for 2 days. I was told do nothing but keep rinsing with water.

Can anyone offer any other advice as far as the eyes? Do I need to go back and see the vet again?

This happened last night around 6pm. Washed dogs 3 times last night and when they woke up this morning al ot of white mucus was around the eyes.

Just did another rinse for good measure with some stuff off the shelf that is supposed to help rid of skunk.

thanks in advance!

doing great, eyes are back to normal which had me really worried for a while.

smell is still there but barely smell it. not sure if its because i am so used to it or what.

I had them out in the field tonight and everything seemed fine. I figured probably the best bet would be to get into some heavy CRP and let the weeds help "work off" the stench smile

tonight for good measure I am having them sleep with some cedar wood chips. hopefully that finish's the smell off.
