Cost to Mount a Scope

Umma Gumma

Question

What's the general cost a gun shop will charge to mount a scope? I purchased a replacement scope, same size and power but a little better quality, and I don't really want to try it myself. Gun is a .270 with a 3-9 scope. I assume the rings can be reused (not very old, scopes appear to be the same size). I assume a mounting include a bore sight.

Thanks!

Another key to remember.. sometimes your rings dont get the scope high or low enough to be able to dial it in... which they discover during the bore sight..

I have seen the local gunshop have to switch rings on more then one rifle that is having a new scope mounted for just that reason.

One example as to why it is a good investment to spend the $25 to have a professional mount and bore sight it.
