Any good stories from the league events?

Good stories?Naw it was kind of a boring year on the river....unless fishing for cats in the trees with the large snags floating around you in water that is over the banks.Or heading down a river in an overloaded(and I mean OVERLOADED) 14ft jon boat with a 40hp on it in the pitch of night doing 30mph.Or fishing through a storm that produced 4" of rain in a couple hours,marble sized hail and constant lighting to only get one fish.Ya it wasn't really that exciting to me.
We did manage to get some fish however it was one of the weidest summers on the river.water went up fast water came down fast and again.I saw few large channels but never had the oportunity to see a flathead during league nights.
Heck I can't wait untill next year!

ok then my 3 cents worth, I too got to be in the OVERLOADED jon, but I believe it was a 50 horse?!!Oh it it makes a hell of a good wood chipper on the snags.Running up and over sand bars, snags , logs in the ultimate river jet boat, Dark 30 saying to me "I smell a bite coming on" and 10 minutes later he has a 36 pounder landed. I had that dang monkey hanging on me more than I cared for but at least I got my biggest channel ever on the last night. All said and done I had a blast and can't wait till next year. Thanks to everyone and especially Jason for running the show!!!!!!

This thing was alot of fun! I had a tough time getting fish during League nights but finally got a nice one later on. I know we'll have more guys in next year and I'm looking forward already! I'm not done this year yet....still gotta bust 40lbs and now everybody knows where I'll be looking!

Thanks Brian and everyone that participated this year, there is only 10 of us that can say "I've fished it every year". DARK you wouldn't be fishing south were the river runs north would ya? hehe. Look out for the monkey he's still out there.
