Kris Kristufek Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009 LakeLady Custom Fishing Rods announces the fall and early winter rod building class schedule, for those who wish to learn or participated in a new hobby.Classes begin at 6 PM on Friday evening; continue all day Saturday and 3 hours on Sunday at Gander Mountain in Baxter, MN. We will use the Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame area for these classes. The public is welcome to come and see us work. Kris Kristufek, owner of LakeLady Custom Fishing Rods will be the lead instructor. He is a certified professional rod builder and is also a trained instructor by the Custom Rod Builders Guild, Inc. The class size remains small, only 6-7 builders per class so individual instruction can be made. Participants will build their choice of a spinning, casting or fly rod during the weekend class. All materials will be provided in the class fee, including use of all necessary tools and disposable materials. The rod building class fee is $250 and includes a one year membership to the Custom Rod Builders Guild, Inc. Builders will learn to build a better rod than can be purchased at the store. One that is built by them for the technique and species they enjoy most. The rod built will have a retail value in excess of $180. The class is perfect for father/son/daughter or husband/wife combinations. Youngsters should be at least 15 years old. The classes are scheduled for the weekends of October 30- Nov. 1, Dec. 4-6, Dec. 11-13. These classes fill quickly, early registration is encouraged.
